This 2-year half-day program offers students an opportunity to create, run, and participate in a fully-functional theater company, either in the performance (AM) or technical (PM) track. Under the guidance of industry professionals, you’ll learn stagecraft, lighting design, sound engineering, set construction, costume design, and get to perform on the stages you build.
Students will produce a fall and spring season of shows for presentation in schools, theaters, and public spaces throughout the county. The English portion of A.R.T. explores classical dramaturgical literature, as well as related fiction and non-fiction writings. Students will write journals, plays, conduct research, and complete a career and technical-ready portfolio.

In this cutting-edge lab, you’ll design and innovate with state-of-the-art machinery, including Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, 3D printers, laser, water-jet and plasma cutter, and advanced robotics. This program emphasizes hands-on training from day one. You’ll work in a real-world, advanced manufacturing environment, gaining practical experience that will set you apart in the job market.
This is a two year program focusing on precision metrology, Computer Aided Design and Manufacturing techniques, CNC machining, and automation. Students will earn college credit and sought-after industry credentials while designing and building a variety of projects diving deep into each aspect of fabrication, purchasing, machining, construction, testing, and project management. Year two students complete complex independent projects honing advanced skills in coding, programming, machining, and fabrication. Students may also choose to showcase their skills by competing in a variety of competitions at SkillsUSA.

This 2-year program gives students hands-on training in the construction trades through exciting projects and real-world applications. You’ll also explore electrical, plumbing, and HVAC basics, as well as sustainable building practices and CNC woodworking.

Explore the fusion of digital tools and traditional art making, creating captivating works that blend the best of both worlds. This hands-on course introduces you to powerful creative software —Photoshop and Illustrator—where you’ll learn to craft stunning illustrations and graphic designs with precision and creativity. You’ll also explore a wide range of physical art materials and methods— spray paint, charcoal, pastel, printmaking, and mixed media—to give your designs depth and expression.
In this daily, year-long class you will learn how to seamlessly move between the digital canvas and your physical work, and discover how to incorporate hand-drawn elements into your designs for a fresh blend of art techniques. Students are encouraged to pursue their own artistic styles on their way to solving real art and design problems.

Work in a real, off-campus bake shop and see, smell, and feel what it’s like to be in a professional setting. Cosmetology allows you to apply your artistic skills in an industry dedicated to helping people look and feel their best. This two-year program provides the knowledge and training necessary to succeed and prepares you for the Vermont State Board of Cosmetology licensing exam. Additionally, you’ll explore a variety of career paths within the industry. In your second year, you’ll gain hands-on experience running your student salon at CVCC, offering hair cutting and coloring, chemical texturizing, waxing, skincare, nail care, and makeup application services.

Successful participation in this credential is a pathway to eligibility for the Vermont Licensing Exam to obtain a Cosmetology License.

From sourcing ingredients to artistically presenting them on a plate, Culinary Arts will teach you classical recipes, methods and techniques, as well as new trends in food preparation. In lecture and lab, learn foundational principles, methods/preparations, plus customer service skills, culinary math, and workplace skills. As you get an overview of different parts of the hospitality industry, you’ll learn about their distinguishing characteristics and trends.

The Plumbing and Heating program teaches students about plumbing and hydronic heating systems. Students who complete the program will be prepared for entry-level plumbing and heating jobs, including a Registered Apprenticeship.

Successful students in this program leave prepared with 300 hours towards the Vermont Plumbing Registered Apprenticeship Program, and to test for the first year of the Vermont Plumbing Registered Apprenticeship Program.
