The Business Management program equips students with skills for entrepreneurship and leadership. Students explore business principles, sports and entertainment management, personal finance, team building, and more. Hands-on experience includes operating 321 Perk at the Campus Store and earning industry-recognized credentials.

The Cosmetology program prepares students for careers in hairstyling, nail care, skin care, and more. Students learn the skills required for the State Board of Cosmetology Licensing Exam and collaborate with local salons to gain real-world experience.

The Culinary Arts program offers a hands-on environment for aspiring chefs. Students gain experience through operating an onsite restaurant and learn skills in cooking, baking, food safety, and menu planning.

Cold Hollow’s Automotive Technology program is a two-year program focused on providing students with the skills needed to enter an entry-level technician position or go on to post-secondary training. The required task list is based on the Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Maintenance and Light repair curriculum. Students are also required to meet employability skills requirements, and pass multiple third-party assessments to complete the program. Opportunities for competing in events are offered through the SkillsUSA student organization.

Business Leadership is a two-year program that is designed to provide critical 21st Century skills, leadership, and personal development, as well as foundational knowledge and skills in the area of Business. It is an academically rigorous program ideal for students seeking to build leadership, employability, and technical skills for a broad range of careers.
Business is the essence of all careers, so the skills and experience gained in the program are applicable to any career path. Our Career & Technical Student Organization is FBLA. Business Leadership students run The Hollow Cup, our program cafe, and The Open Door, our not-for-profit, mission-based boutique at EFHS.

This two-year course is designed to introduce and teach students the skills needed to enter the construction field of their choice. Using a combination of classroom, lab units, and on site construction methods, students will learn the process of general construction. Students completing this course will demonstrate: how to properly and safely use hand tools and power tools, the foundation process, framing, drywall, siding, roofing, trim, finish work, plumbing, heating and electrical and much more. This course is designed to give students a solid base and understanding of carpentry and general all around knowledge of the construction fields.
This program includes the following credential(s): ACT National Career Readiness Certificate; National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) – Plumbing, Core, Heavy Equipment 1-2, and Carpentry Levels 1-4.
At CHCC, forestry students will be introduced to the field of forestry/natural resources including sugaring, firewood, logging, machinery operation and maintenance. This is a two-year course that is recommended for any student who is interested in pursuing a postsecondary education or entering directly into the fields of forestry, agricultural, or sugaring. All students become members of the FFA and have the chance to attend the national convention as Vermont representatives.

The first year students will learn about history and trends in medical care, careers available in the field of medicine, legal and ethical responsibilities of medical careers, medical terminology, anatomy and physiology, human growth and development, cultural diversity, geriatric care, infection control, First Aid, CPR, and how computer technology is being integrated into the medical field.
The second year students will acquire skills either as a medical assistant or nurse’s aid and have the opportunity to co-op. Human biology and/or medical terminology with be offered for college credit in conjunction with Community College of Vermont.

This two-year program is designed to provide educational and experiential opportunities for students who have a sincere interest and passion for working with, teaching and helping people and communities. The program draws on community resources and professionals as well as the Educators Rising Curriculum and the study of Human Services and Sociology to grow and develop future leaders in this field. This program prepares the motivated student to pursue further studies in the education and human services fields or to enter the workforce in these professions with the tools and skills necessary to thrive.

The Electrical & Plumbing program will help students develop skills to enter their chosen career though the Vermont Apprenticeship program or continue studies at the college level. The classroom experience is enhanced by on-site practical applications in our plumbing and electrical labs and other electrical or plumbing construction projects in the area. In addition, students have a hands-on introduction to applications in solar and wind renewable energy, energy conservation, HVAC, blueprint reading, and electrical & plumbing HVAC system design.
This program can alternatively be completed in one year, though credentials available may require participation for two years.
This program includes the following credential(s): National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) – Construction Core, Electrical 1, and Plumbing 1 &2. Students also may choose to earn apprenticeship hours toward either a Vermont Electrician Registered Apprenticeship or a Vermont Plumbing Registered Apprenticeship.
