The broad common base of behavioral science courses roots you in sound theory and ethical practice, while those who wish to may delve more deeply into focus areas, such as human services, criminal justice, substance use disorders, and psychology. As companies continue to expand their information systems, IT workers keep communications running smoothly and help to resolve complicated problems. Information technology professionals find employment in a wide array of industries.
Our curriculum provides students with foundational skills in networking, programming, and operating systems. Students will build depth of knowledge in at least one of three focus area options: cloud computing, networking, programming, or website development. The program also includes additional elective credits that may be used to explore other facets of this broad field and prepare you for important industry certifications.
Clinical Medical Assisting | Certificate
This certificate prepares students for clinical duties in a health care setting, working under the direct supervision of a physician or other health practitioner. Students will develop the skills and knowledge required to effectively perform clinical functions including patient intake and care, routine diagnostic and recording procedures, pre-examination and examination assistance, and the administration of medications and first aid, while adhering to legal and ethical standards in the field.
Professional Studies | Associate Degree
The Professional Studies program prepares you for entry-level professional positions in a variety of settings. The program is designed to help the student master a wide variety of workplace skills. Cloud Computing | Certificate
The Cloud Computing Certificate is designed to prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills required to develop, implement and maintain a cloud computing system and applications for a business or organization. Students who complete this program will have an opportunity to earn the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Certified Cloud Practitioner and Certified Solutions Architect Certifications.
STEM Studies | Associate Degree
CCV’s associate of science degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) Studies will prepare you with the knowledge and skills needed to succeed in key scientific and technical economic sectors in Vermont. In addition to the general education requirements, the STEM Studies degree includes 23 credits of core program requirements within the fields of science, technology, and math.
The program allows the flexibility to pursue your individual goals in fields such as physical science, life science, and pre-engineering. You may fulfill the program requirements through a combination of courses in allied health science, architecture, biology, chemistry, computer information systems, environmental science, mathematics, mechanical engineering technology, meteorology, and physics.
Bookkeeping | Certificate
This certificate prepares students for entry-level positions in bookkeeping. Students will gain an understanding of accounting principles and practices, financial markets, banking, and analysis and reporting of financial data. The program prepares students for certification exams required for the NACPB’s Certified Public Bookkeeper license. Courses in this program may be applied to the CCV Accounting A.S. degree.

This certificate prepares students for a variety of frontline positions in public health. Students gain foundational skills and knowledge in public health, case management, communication, and complete a capstone course aligned with the core competencies of the community health worker role in Vermont.
