Psychology | Bachelor’s Degree

Norwich has one of the few undergraduate psychology programs in the country that requires an original research project as a senior thesis, encouraging psychology majors to explore and research topics of interest and relevance to their chosen fields. Through this project, majors learn the importance of scientific method through graduate-level research, which involves data collection, literature review, conducting an experiment with human subjects, and writing and presenting a thesis on a wide range of topics, from stereotyping to threat perception.

Spanish | Bachelor’s Degree

Spanish is the second-most-spoken language in the world, both domestically and abroad. Language proficiency guarantees you cultural competency within the U.S. and global communities. As a major, you’ll experience personal transformation through study-abroad opportunities and intellectual growth via our innovative curriculum. Course offerings encompass Latinos and immigration, drug cartels, cinema, and literature, taught in personalized classes augmented by extracurricular activities.

International Business | Bachelor’s Degree

International business studies the markets, people, and places involved in trade, commerce, and exchanges throughout the world. Students in this field are challenged to think globally and to develop an awareness of the cultural, political, and economic aspects of business.

Through a comprehensive approach to project-based learning led by expert faculty, a degree in International Business will help you develop a framework to increase your cultural literacy and broaden your perspective. Flexible elective credits allow you to customize your degree through adding a minor, creating the highly specialized skill-set that employers seek.

Leadership | Bachelor’s Degree

The Leadership Program prepares undergraduate students to become confident, global, and advanced leaders through an interdisciplinary emphasis on real-world leadership perspectives. Civilian students and cadets with a BS in Leadership at Norwich will be ready to demonstrate global leadership skills in the public, private, or military spheres by having theoretical and practical preparation via internship and interactive classroom experiences. The BS degree program in Leadership provides Norwich students an opportunity to be creative, critical, and ethical leaders by having strategic and inclusive leadership as its main pillars and preparing students to be global leaders for the private institutions, public offices, and the military.

Management | Bachelor’s Degree

Our flexible program prepares majors for leadership and management positions in small- and medium-sized businesses, governmental organizations, and the military. Whether you’re a budding entrepreneur, leaning toward a corporate career, or planning to manage a family business, our program can be tailored to your needs. Leadership and management skills necessary for a military or international career are emphasized, and a minor degree is also available.

Management majors choose from one of five concentrations: computer information systems, financial economics, leadership, marketing, and sports management. Many management majors frequently double major in accounting, a path that requires as few as two additional courses.

Mathematics | Bachelor’s Degree

As a mathematics major, you can join with our faculty to explore areas in pure and applied mathematics—from cryptology, graph theory, and real analysis to logic, statistical methods, and applications of differential equations. You can also work toward licensure as a secondary mathematics teacher. Or study actuarial science and work toward becoming an actuary. We offer enough electives for you to earn a minor or double major in another field, or to take on an internship.

Mechanical Engineering | Bachelor’s Degree

Mechanical engineering majors learn to design, develop and manufacture machines that produce, transmit and use power. Wherever machines are produced or used, there are mechanical engineers. The mechanical engineering program stresses lab work, internships, and a focus on solving real-world problems.

Neuroscience | Bachelor’s Degree

The neuroscience major exposes students to a rapidly growing field at the intersection of biology and psychology. Majors undertake interdisciplinary learning at the earliest stages of their undergraduate careers, drawing knowledge from a variety of specialties. Neuroscience graduates effectively master the human nervous system from cellular, molecular, biochemical, cognitive, and behavioral perspectives through a program emphasizing a strong foundation in the natural sciences.

Nursing: Accelerated Track | Bachelor’s Degree

The School of Nursing’s (SON) traditional and accelerated bachelor’s degrees in nursing provide our students with the knowledge and practice to be exceptional and compassionate healthcare professionals with the technical knowledge and skills to succeed in a variety of hospital or clinical settings. Our graduates are highly sought and are making a difference both in small rural clinics, urban centers, and large metropolitan hospitals.
