Digital Marketing | Certificate
The Digital Marketing certificate provides students with a comprehensive set of tools and knowledge required for entry-level roles in digital marketing and e-commerce. Emphasis is placed on essential digital marketing skills, including SEO, SEM, social media management, email marketing, and the application of digital marketing and e-commerce skills to help businesses grow their online presence and sales. The certificate is designed to provide a broad overview of the digital marketing and e-commerce landscape.
Early Childhood Education | Associate Degree
In the Early Childhood Education (ECE) program, you will develop knowledge, skills, and experience to help you work effectively with young children (aged birth to eight) and families. These skills are based on industry standards and professional competencies in child development, family and community, teaching and learning, health and safety, professionalism, and program organization. Elective credits in the program provide flexibility to delve more deeply in to topics to support your career goals. For example, students may use elective credits to incorporate courses required for CCV’s Afterschool & Youth Work or Early Childhood Education Administrator certificates.
Practical Nursing | Certificate
If you are new to the field of nursing and want to enter the workforce quickly, our Practical Nursing Certificate program is designed for you. This nursing education program will put you on track to earn a livable wage as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) and prepare you to enter Vermont State’s associate degree in nursing program at the same time.
Trailblazers | Certification
Trailblazers is a free trades training program preparing women and gender-expansive individuals ages 18+ for careers in construction and the renewable energy sector.
The seven-week-long pre-apprenticeship program provides a safe, non-judgmental environment for participants to build skills, gain confidence, and explore fields that tend to be male-dominated.
Throughout the program, participants get hands-on experience through field trips, community build projects, and a three-week paid onsite work experience with a local employer who has participated in our gender equity training.
This program includes or prepares for the following credential(s): National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) Core Craft.
Nursing | Associate Degree
This degree program will prepare to take your Registered Nursing (RN) licensure exam in just one year. Vermont State’s associate in nursing program is the second year in our unique 1+1+2 track in nursing education. Students who enter this year of the program are already Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) and are often working in nursing at the same time. This program allows you to earn a livable wage while working toward RN licensure and the many career opportunities that come with this next level of education.
Welding & Metal Fabrication Program | Certificate
This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
This course prepares students for various construction welding trades. Areas that will be covered in the year one are: oxy-fuel cutting, Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW), blueprint reading, metallurgy and occupational safety. Students will apply math, science, language arts and problem-solving skills in daily activities. In year two, students will study various applications of Gas Metal Arc Welding (MIG) and Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (TIG). Students will be exposed to small business procedures, job estimation, and accounting. After rotation through all the areas, the student will select an area for in-depth study that includes career research.

Cosmetology Program | License
This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
Students who are interested in the cosmetology profession will learn through e-books, textbooks, lectures, guest speakers, career-related field trips, research, and projects. This program uses both classroom experience and hands-on training in a salon-like setting and off-site field experience.
Students will study professionalism; leadership and ethics; sanitation; sterilization and hygiene; anatomy; laws, rules, and regulations; shampooing; waxing; permanent waving, hair straightening; finger waving, pin curls, roller formation, blow-waving; manicuring; basic aestheticism, facials, makeup; tinting, bleaching, rinsing, and reconditioning, and haircutting.
Year two students will be more involved with scheduling appointments and performing services on clients both in the school setting and out in the community. Upon completion of the program, students may use some of the accumulated hours towards the 1500 hours required for the cosmetology licensing examination depending upon their academic standing in the program and the post-secondary school of their choice.

Culinary Arts Program | Certificate
This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
The Culinary Arts program provides the student with hands-on learning in food service in a professional kitchen and restaurant setting. The Falcon Café is a student-run full-service restaurant that allows students to experience all aspects of the restaurant business. Students in Culinary Arts I learn to prepare baked goods, learn and practice cooking techniques, cook for the restaurant and engage in customer service.
Students start portfolios that document their work in the culinary program, explore food service careers and demonstrate employability skills. In Culinary Arts II, students will build on the acquired skills and take leadership roles. The students use the second year to explore the area of food service that most interests them. Students continue to expand their knowledge of food services, food preparation, demonstrate bakery production skills and gain a greater understanding of the hospitality industry.
This program includes the following credential(s): National Restaurant Association-ServSafe Food Handler Certificate & ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.
Health Sciences Program | License
This is intended for high school students attending from within the district. College credits may be available as part of this program. Students from outside the district or adults who are not enrolled in high school can contact the center to apply for this program, as well.
Health Sciences I includes anatomy and physiology, human growth and development, infection control, legal responsibilities, medical terminology, job safety, employability skills, and much more. A clinical component is included to provide hands-on experience in areas including nursing, physical therapy, radiology, respiratory therapy, dental care, nutrition, surgical services, veterinary science, and more. In Health Sciences II, students continue to expand skills and career path options and choose between Licensed Nursing Assistant (LNA) or dual enrollment in the Human Growth and Development course. All students study medical terminology for optional dual enrollment credit.
