This certificate prepares students to effectively use digital communications media. Courses in this certificate include marketing, communication, and software skills that may be used to enhance current employment and prepare individuals for a wide variety of careers using new media. In addition, students will critically engage with emerging trends in the study of human interaction with digital media.

This certificate is designed for students looking for employment in the growing field of medical billing and coding and prepares students to take the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) examination for Certified Professional Coders (CPC). To obtain the CPC credential, students will be required to demonstrate on-the-job coding experience in addition to passing the CPC certification exam. Those who pass the CPC, but have not yet met the work experience requirement, will be designated as an Apprentice (CPC-A).
