At CHCC, forestry students will be introduced to the field of forestry/natural resources including sugaring, firewood, logging, machinery operation and maintenance. This is a two-year course that is recommended for any student who is interested in pursuing a postsecondary education or entering directly into the fields of forestry, agricultural, or sugaring. All students become members of the FFA and have the chance to attend the national convention as Vermont representatives.
This program includes the following credential(s): Game of Logging Chainsaw Safety Training Levels 1, 2, 3, 4; LEAP Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI) Certification, Commercial Drivers License (CDL) Permit, ACT National Career Readiness Certificate.
